Deduplicated rounds and standardized entities, subsectors, dates, financing classifications, and currencies, producing 600+ deals and 120–150 actionable regulatory events.
• Owned funding-flow, regulatory, industry-structure, and competitive research. Compared orthodontic aligner brands, private dental chains, equipment suppliers, and digital and SaaS providers to inform subsector prioritization.
• Worked with the VP and investment team to narrow a longlist of 100+ targets to more than ten candidates. Profiled financing histories, valuation ranges, and investor bases, and assigned pass, watch, or exclude recommendations with regulatory, reputational, shareholder, and supplier-risk flags.
• Converted MSCI Corporate Governance and Corporate Behavior topics into ten subcategories and 33 diligence checks covering control complexity, related-party exposure, disclosure, audit quality, and business ethics.
• Authored pass, conditional, and deny memoranda to guide diligence depth and valuation discussions. Specified evidence requirements and management questions for governance issues requiring further investigation.
• Presented governance and risk findings to partners, prompting two management meetings and additional auditor-tenure checks. Identified accounting and related-party concerns in two finalists and translated them into management questions and on-site diligence priorities.
